Privacy policy

This policy explains what Praxis Dynamics LLC ("we") collects when you use Loquela Remote, why, and what you can do about it. It covers this service only, not the Loquela keyboard app or getloquela.com.

Audio and transcripts

We process the audio you send only to transcribe it and return the text to you. Audio and transcripts are held in memory while the request runs and then erased. We do not store them, share them, sell them or use them to train models. If you ask for speaker labels, the voices in the audio are told apart for that request only: speakers are numbered A, B and so on, nobody is identified, and no voice profile is kept. What we collect

• Account: email address, optional name, and how you sign in (email code, Google or GitHub).
• API keys: a one-way fingerprint of each key, its name, and when it was created and last used.
• Usage: for each request, the time, audio duration, minutes charged, outcome, and processing times. No content.
• Billing: your Stripe customer id, plan and minute balances. Card details are handled by Stripe, not us.
• Security: IP addresses, kept briefly for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

Why

To provide the service, bill for it, prevent abuse, and answer you when you contact us. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Who else processes data

• Cloudflare, Inc.: network and secure tunnel (audio passes through in transit).
• Stripe, Inc.: payments, invoices and billing portal.
• Google LLC: email delivery for sign-in codes, and sign-in if you choose Google.
• GitHub, Inc.: sign-in if you choose GitHub.

Where and how long

Account and usage data are stored, encrypted, on our own machine in North Carolina, USA. We keep account data while your account is open and usage and billing records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Sign-in codes are deleted within a day. Service logs, which contain no content, are kept for 30 days.

Your choices

You can see your usage and keys on your account page. Email us to get a copy of your data, correct it, or close your account and delete it, subject to records we must keep by law.

Children

The service is not for children under 18.
