Terms of service
Last updated 17 October 2026.
These terms cover your use of Loquela Remote (the "service"), a speech-to-text API and MCP server operated by Praxis Dynamics LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company ("we"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. The service
The service transcribes English audio you send it and returns text. It runs on hardware we own. We may change, improve or limit features, and we may pause it briefly for maintenance. We do not promise any particular uptime.
For now we offer the service only to customers in the United States, and we accept only cards issued in the United States.
2. Your account and keys
You need an account to use the service. Keep your API keys secret: anything done with your keys counts as your use. Revoke a key from your account page if you think it has leaked. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to process audio you have no right to process, to record people without the consent the law requires, or to harm or harass anyone. Do not try to disrupt the service, get around its limits, or access other customers' data. We may suspend accounts that do.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the audio you send and the transcripts you receive. We process audio only to transcribe it for you. We do not store it, sell it, or use it to train any model. See How audio is handled.
5. Plans, minutes and payment
- Subscriptions are billed in advance when you subscribe and renew monthly on that date until cancelled. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan stays active until the end of the paid period.
- Plan minutes reset each billing period and do not carry over.
- Prepaid minutes expire 24 months after purchase. They are used after plan minutes, oldest first.
- Usage is measured in seconds of audio. Requests that fail on our side are not charged.
- When you run out of minutes, requests are refused. We do not charge for overage.
- Automatic top-up is optional. If you turn it on, you authorize us to charge the card you save the amount you chose whenever your minutes fall below the level you chose, up to your monthly limit. Each charge buys prepaid minutes. You can turn it off at any time on your account page, which removes the card. A declined charge turns it off.
- Minutes cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash, except as described in the refund policy.
- Prices may change. Changes to a subscription price take effect from your next renewal after we tell you.
- Payments are processed by Stripe.
6. Accuracy
Speech recognition makes mistakes. Do not rely on transcripts where an error could cause harm (for example medical, legal or safety decisions) without checking them.
7. Warranty and liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data.
8. Ending
You can stop using the service and close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. Sections 4, 6, 7 and 10 survive.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or on your account page before it applies. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, USA. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in North Carolina.
